Babies are good for extra weight on those rear tires and great for distracting bears. I always keep a couple in the trunk

Whoever does this stuff needs to be tar and feathered

Have had 2 pretty bad hit and runs on the next street over, first one was a 4runner that got totaled

The most recent was an F150 that got totaled and pushed into the 4runner in front of it

Both cars somehow managed to drive off o_O

^^^This. Mine drove mine once and didn't like it- not "comfy" enough for her... I'm like "Yeah. It's a dedicated off-road rig that gets you to the places you need to go..." She drove it once and that was it. It's a 1st Gen, but she never drove it again.

This is why I'm researching and going to be putting in front and rear mounted (and motion activated) cameras.

I had my truck a week, and got rear ended.

A week later, got swiped (minor) in a parking lot. Bumper and over fender scratches. No note.

Seems this new truck is a magnet for people driving like complete asshats. More near misses in the last 6 weeks or so than I've had in the past couple years. I mean...I'm beginning to wonder, is quicksand just not easily seen or what?!!!

Would love to catch some asshole doing another parking lot hit and run and completely ruin his shit when I handed over video to the police.

You might be right about the color and people not seeing it as easily. Then again there are a lot if ahole drivers out there with their heads in their cell phones and up their arse's.

I know a guy that owns a top notch car body repair facility and he swears up and down that silver cars get hit more often than any other color of car. He attributes it to the possibility that silver blends in to the scenery and people don't see it as readily.

I just recently had damage in the same area of the bottom panel and my headlight also got scraped and it was about 700 to get the panel repainted. Luckily since the truck is still pretty new(mine is 7 months) it will paint match just fine. But your maybe looking at a little over a grand in damage. An offroad bumper may be a good alternative.

Sorry for your troubles, seems that drivers are getting worse all the time! I had a dillweed pull out in front of me on the way home from the dealer and I missed him by inches!!! Guess he didn't see my headlights and fog lights.

Bummer, I feel your pain :( But, trucks, tits as life shit happens. When you go for a check-up and your labs come back with terminal cancer this will seem minor (not a digg just an analogy).
