Ask the dealer how much they will give you on a trade for your BMW M3 minivan.

    There you have it.

I guess if you are interested in the truck, follow up with your contact. If not, thank him for his time and move on.

Wait and see if they change the advertisement. If not drop a quick note to the state DMV (they regulate used car sales in CA, right? ), Consumer Affairs (http://www.dca.ca.gov) and the BBB. Then move on.

    stuff
I benefited from this situation when I purchased mine. It was marketed as a base model, but I was pretty sure it was a TRD Off Road. I now know that it is in fact a TRD (thanks to TW). I think I saved some money from their mistake, but who really knows... Also, I guess somebody could have swapped the seats, added Bilstein shocks, TRD o r wheels, a rear locker, and a bed outlet...not likely.

Edit: I assume what they really care about is selling a used vehicle for more than they got it for.

I bet whoever buys that truck doesn't GAS. And probably doesn't know the difference between an SR, a SR5, and a TRD.
He's buying a truck with cool black wheels and some stickers for $xx,xxx.

Any Tacoma "enthusiast" would buy it and remove the stickers. Or move on to a different truck.

Hard for me to believe any car dealership, let alone Toyota, bought/traded that from someone without first running all the reports on the VIN.

    They still haven't.
They obviously aren't in a hurry or don't care.

...they know the game and they are playing it

When I traded in my taco (TRD sport) the tool bag sales man plugged all the trucks info into kbb to give me a trade price....he "accidentally " left out the TRD sport and several other options, when I caught it he played dumb
