Yup defiantly going with sliders, It was getting dark when I found the damage. Going to assess and buff what I can in the AM. Still in the shock phase lol
10 days shy of a year old and 5600 miles, yes she was pampered. Damn scumbags

Why I never park next to or between people. Always some dick or fat chick that cant help themselves from swinging the door fully open and into someone's car. Wish we can purge.

I’d follow up with the people who supposedly reviewed the tapes... sound fishy to me. They need to show you those tapes or they coluded to screw you. It’s confusing you say 10 minuets you went to dinner and see this? Where did you eat? Did you check their tapes? Sound like hit and run while no public place is private anymore someone is hiding this video and not showing you

Sorry for your damage, but it could have happened anywhere. If you didn't obviously notice it when you got back in the truck at the dealership, you could have missed it earlier.

I almost always walk around my truck when returning after parking it somewhere, inspecting for damage and being proactive at that point.

I returned home straight from the dealership, went inside to get my GF and when getting in the truck to go to dinner I noticed the damage,
that side of the truck was facing the sunset at the dealer and i was wearing sunglasses so I defiantly could have missed it

Haven’t you noticed that your truck is a parking lot magnet? Whenever I remote park alone in the other end of the lot, when I get back it’s always surrounded by other cars even though there are plenty of other spaces left!

Last weekend I parked out in the boondocks at walmart.
Came out and there was a van nose to nose with my truck, his license plate was literally 3 inches from mine
I should have known better at walmart...

Please don’t say you were Overlanding at Walmart..:)

I ended up putting a step on my front hitch receiver- short of getting a bull bar or full plate bumper, it helps ward off nose to nose parker’s and maybe backup dents a bit.

Buffed it out as well as I could with what I have on hand, going to post a thread in detailing
Going to hit the small spots with touch up paint
Anyone know if PDR would apply to this dent?

You might be giving the person too much credit by calling him/her a jerk... You are assuming the moron realizes he/she did it.

I had a small dent in my door below the handle that a PDR guy straightened out in about 5 minutes. Assuming he has access to that spot, I’d say yeah they could fix that.

On the sliders, definitely go with them. I don’t seriously off-road and have used mine more times than I can count already. And that’s just what I know of.

Sounds like you don’t “need” sliders and if that’s the case I’ve been very happy with my Tyger Star steps - no sliders, but you can get them delivered thru Amazon in a few days and they bolt right into the rocker panel in minutes - they are heavy and tough but not intended to support the trucks weight but most folks are not rock crawling and unless you regularly need to support your truck safely on rocks sliders arent much help... Have WATCHED cars swing their doors open carelessly in parking lots only to tap the step. I’m just careful to always park next to vehicles that sit lower than my truck and I never worry about this sort of thing. FWIW.

Yep. Saved me countless times from parking lot idiots.

Sorry about your truck OP, that just sucks and the fact they didnt wait to tell you is not surprising in this world. I'm sure the dealership wont help either.

Might be able to buff it out depending on how deep it is. If you can run your finger nail across the paint and scuff mark without your nail catching, you can buff it out.

My wife once hit my old daily beater with her old car and left a mark like that. I was able to buff it out completely.

98 percent sure this incident happened at the dealer lot, but like you said "they reviewed the footage and didn't see anything"
I'm just glad its not as bad as it looked, it got dark real fast after I discovered it. If the dent can be repaired without painting, Ill be ok with it

I hear ya. Just sux for you and another reason most people suck. Clearly they knew they hit you and dealerships don't give a damn.
