Depends on what the wood is. IKEA-class particle board ... no way in hell. 2x4 frame and construction-grade plywood that are used on floors ... those get pricey. All you must do to know why I say "pricey" just go to Lowes and price a 8'x4' 1/2 in plywood sheet.

Particle board is like a chicken nugget. Construction-grade plywood is multiple layers in alternating 90-degree directions.

I would just build 2x4 skeleton and put good plywood over the skeleton first, but never buy less than construction-grade plywood.

I imagine a lot of that is in the shipping cost. Take a look at 2x6 prices at your local HD or Lowes and compare.

I already have a plan of 2x6 and plywood plan in my mind. Would be $60-ish, but I would be fully ready to sleep on the frame.

I can sketch a plan with 2x6 and plywood. You need a power drill, a circular saw some screws. Or a friend who does have them.

You can also post in "Garage / Workshop" and you will have any number of plans given to do it yourself for the same/slightly-more cost but top-quality material guaranteed.
