Big Brother pushes hybrids and electric vehicles.

Gas engines - bad. Make smaller. Micro-turbo.

More and more batteries, electric vehicles, cordless everything.

Pay no attention to the meter behind the curtain:
    https://www.eia.gov/todayinenergy/detail.php?id=62083

Outlaw new gas vehicles. (California will decide when.)

Electric rates go through the roof. See link above.

Utilities start building Tokamak reactors like candy, to keep up with demand.

Everything is electric. Big Brother can fully monitor and control who drives where and when. Gas burners are lionized as heartless eco-outlaws.

So many Tokamaks, polar ice melt accelerates, sending world into global Armageddon.

3rd Gen Tacomas become the vehicle of choice for rebels living in the forbidden zones, selling for millions.

Conclusion: Keep your 3rd Gen for as long as you can!

(Hypothetically speaking. Any resemblance to the eventual demise of this or any other civilization is purely coincidental, but just as certain. Hypothetically.)

rotated tires changed oil threw out the old air freshener.
The dealers keep sending me "offers" to trade in my 2021 Sport AC 6spMT.
Last one included a "check" for the amount I last paid for service at the dealership. (Keeping the extended warrantee on the up and up)

But I can't think of a Toyota vehicle I would rather have. It's hard to "Make out better" trading in a rig you would like to keep.!

Where I am, that's a screaming deal. Stealership near me wanted 34k for a OR with 82k miles. It was not very clean either, kind of rough. Obviously they were asking too much but that car will probably go for 30k

Wow - happening sooner than I thought… sea level rise should put that fire out.

Pre-Apocalypse pricing: I’ll take $100k for my SR.

I removed those annoying stickers on the sun visor.
I'm in Canada. When I bought mine last summer, an offer came in from a company that wanted to export it to the States, because they can get significantly more money for them down there. Salesman said it's been pretty common the past few years. Fortunately I already put a deposit down on it.

every thing this person wrote is a web of lies used make your fear manipulate your decision to hold on to a "reliable" vehicle. Let that voice in your head convince you that all is well and new vehicles are safer and more reliable. The GPS system fully integrates with your starter is now a convenience for you and your family and toyota would never charge you for a monthly mileage fee that the government is forcing them to levee upon its customers. hahahahah

Hey - I said it was all hypothetical… certainty.

And you know about the ‘proposed’ mileage fees?!! Soon, you won’t even be able to drive into Kalifornia without a CARB-approved GPS vehicle transponder and a verified form of payment.

    Hypothetically…

    (Absolute certainty!)

Bank accounts will be linked to your vehicle to verify Toll payment when trying to drive across county or state lines. Failure to pay will result in the authoritarian entity taking control of your vehicle remotely and delivering you to a FEMA camp where you will be interred and forced to serve out your sentence until your debt is paid.

Now, that only applies to people with jobs or traceable assets. All others will be eligible for the government Road Equity Distribution - Toll Assistance & Payment Equalization program. (Paid for by the aforementioned mileage fees.)

I'm currently out of aluminum foil. Will parchment paper work?
