I know a lot of us reported it to eBay and it is still up..I know it has 2 days left.. I was thinking of emailing the bidders if eBay does not do anything

 

Did anyone else notice the whole area where "PreRunner" "SR5" and "V6" are located, they just look off.

whomever gets this truck will read the report, as ebay offers autocheck free. if you dig into the report (not very deep), it shows that there was severe damage and the vehicle needed to be towed.

however, i do think it's pretty interesting that the seller is contradicting the report when the report is RIGHT there within the auction, lol. that is the part that is bothersome.

the listing is definitely misleading. as everyone else probably does, i'd love to know the real story behind that accident.

 

poorly reapplied offroad decal, buckled bed liner at top right of bed, missing all mud flaps, and missing right rear floor mat.

seriously hope the ad gets taken down before someone gets screwed out of $17k+

 

I dont even know what the hell s going on with that thing. Sport hood and matching grille and rear bumper, but no matching mirrors? Fake TRD offroad stickers as it does not have a locker. Theyre saying its a 6-speed auto. Also, the warranty info is "unspecified". Whatever that means. Something really wierd goin on there.

As another nice little touch, it has the wrong year radio in it...that AUX input is now worthless.

 

And no rear camera on the tailgate handle either. Looks like they just threw together whatever Tacoma parts they could get outta the junkyard, painted them and put it up for auction. Hate to say it, but that is one Tacoma that shoulda stayed in the grave. It looked destroyed.

 

I would personally like to thank all of you for posting about this vehicle. I was the winning ebay bidder and after researching the V.I.N number through google I found this forum thread. I initially contacted the seller via cell phone and was told the person selling the truck is out of the country (red flag #1) also I advised I would have a third party inspection in which I was told they don't like third party inspections (red flag #2).I advised them I would contact tomorrow for inspection time and was told I need to complete the 1k$ deposit (red flag #3) I have contacted ebay who while I was talking with on the phone pulled up the same info as I did Ebay was genuinely concerned after they pulled info up and will back me 100%. If i could buy all of you guys/gals a beer I would .Thanks again!
now off to search for another Tacoma.

Thanks. I suspected this was a scam but Damn i was hoping i was just getting one helluv deal.

 

makes me feel so much better that one of the bidders (or winner) found out about the history of this truck, I seen 39 people have bid on this truck and wish I could have emailed everyone of them, about this sour deal. glad all is good now!

 

It does have the fog anytime mod does that make it ok

 

I will leave you with this, from the person @ ebay I spoke to when I told them I was the winning bidder and I thought this was a scamhe stated" if you go through with the transaction you are covered by ebays buyer protection and if you find something wrong with the truck you can file a claim " that when i referred him to the pictures that were posted on here and he said oh yeah that's a little more than minor door damage.
