Well after looking at the champion radiator upgrade then reading all the ones that developed cracks I’ve decided a new oem radiator will go in for reliability..

Motor is in the truck. She cranks and has good compression so I’m on to the intake and cooling system refresh tomorrow morning before family comes over. I have all new gaskets and hoses. Along with a metal bipass hose

She’s alive! It was a busy day of connecting everything on the intake plumbing new trany and power steering lines ect ect. I have a few vacuum lines to clean up and then I’ll do a short oil change after the first 10 hours just to flush the motor real good. https://www.instagram.com/p/B6eP5M3haVX/?igshid=1ulg525hnutad

If can happen pretty damn fast if you don’t know, or misinterpret the warning signs. My engine steam cleaned itself on the interstate with little warning just last week. Blown head gasket with 175k miles. 4K repair bill.

That sucks. My personal taco I wired a temp alarm in. I won’t do it to this one because I’m not sure if I’m keeping it or not but the alarm is 1000% going on any of my long term trucks

Thanks luckily it was straight forward motor swap I had very little cutting most bolts came out after a good pb blaster soak. It definitely worked out well with the holidays because Sunday was almost a wasted day... I needed a bolt for the starter become the original ones threads were garbage and I didn’t want to use it so i had to wait till Monday for the parts dealership to open. So once i had that on Tuesday it was just a matter of zapping the intake and exhaust on and connecting plugs, hoses, and lines.
