Have you tried resetting the system by unplugging the battery? Sorry this is still an issue

Was going to try this out in the morning. It’s free, so worth a shot lol. It is disappointing to say the least. We’ve driven 4K+ miles from California to other states. I’ve always enjoyed my time with the truck despite its drawbacks. So all of this has definitely been pretty heartbreaking. This is the most love/hate relationship I’ve ever had in my life lol.

These are the codes I pulled from my cheap-o Bluetooth scanner. Frankly these seem more like fuel pump Issues, and not water in fuel issues? But I’m clueless at this point. Thoughts?

A whole bunch of "low fuel pressure" issues.

Me thinks you might have low fuel pressure. Got a gauge to slap on and check?

So I’m almost 100% sure it’s the pump again. I heard a buzzing sound coming from the fuel tank. Ima try a different dealer. Although I fear they might say some crap like. “sorry, last place said you had water so it’s no longer covered.”

For what it’s worth, mine buzzes while it’s on. There’s no way it’s normal, It sounds like someone lost a vibrator in my fuel tank.

here’s a crappy video. It’s somewhat intermittent, but theres a buzzing coming from the tank. Hard to hear on camera but very noticeable in person.

You can get a fuel pressure tester kit at Harbor Freight for not too much $, I'm sure one of our TW tech gurus can provide the pressure specification.

So quick question, if I go to a completely different dealership. Will they know the exact details of what the first dealer found? I feel like if they read “water in fuel” they’ll just say “yup, that’s you’re problem bud. Water voided your warranty so better luck next time.” Lol. :frusty:

I genuinely think it’s the fuel pump going bad again. Anyways, trying a new dealership is my final straw before I just drop the tank and replace the pump myself.

Take it to an independent shop, at this point it sounds like that dealer doesn't know how to diagnose a car. if its out of warranty they are going to look for shit to replace for no reason. Do your research on shops near you, what part of Socal are you located in?

So let me get this straight, you took it to the dealer, they said you had water in the tank and kicked you to the curb? If this is the case I would be going to another dealer. Talk to them, and be honest about the situation, the supposed water in fuel (very possible) and the fuel pump noise. Tell them you have no confidence in the other dealership and you want a resolution. The first dealership should have solved the water in the fuel problem for you at the very least, not sent you on your way.

Did you have a CEL on when you went to the dealer who said it was water in the gas?

If the light was on, they have to scan it. They should have saw those codes.

No way water in gas causes low fuel pressure.

    Those guys are hacks!

Sounds like a fuel pump recall.

Stupid question but did you turn off vsc or any traction control features? Turn them all off and make sure issue still occurs. Sounds like fuel
Pump to me but MAYBE malfunctioning traction control or stability system is cutting power?
