Agreed. The glow plugs have come a long way.

Crawling up a hill and decending a hill are to different things... Or am I wrong?

Do you really need a feature to drive the car off road for you? What fun is off roading when you aren't driving? May as well get a video game to go off roading in.

Woah I was just saying that I don't think the crawl control on a Tacoma and hill decent control are the same thing.

The automatic locking rear diff is superior to the electronic locking diff in the Taco. In the Taco, it only works in 4low according to what I have read. In all GMs, including these twins, it works whether you're in 2wd, 4hi or 4 low. Pulling a boat out of the water and you get some wheel spin, one full revolution more of 1 wheel over the other and it kicks on immediately and pulls it out for you. No stopping and having to shift into 4low. This makes it better for off roading too because if you want to race around in 2wd in the sand dunes or something like that, you have it locking for you to give you more traction and giddyup at all times.

Well crawl control in demo videos were used for going up and down hills. Basically controlling the speed. I am not sure if the hill descent control works going uphill or not but it too keeps it slow moving down steep hills. Either way, a long steep hill off road is about the only time I would ever use either of those features just to maintain traction as opposed to using a 4low/braking mixture.

Yeah...that is my concern as I go into Canyon Diesel ownership... That is, if I don't get last minute cold feet when it arrives.... But it is the towing capabilities in that size of a truck that got me to take the risk... V6 to V6, even with the Canyon being more fuel efficient, I would have gone With the Tacoma...in fact, I was until I saw Diesel deliveries close...

Have you ever lived in a part of the world where it gets to -45 Celsius?

Rip the air conditioning out of your truck Texas boy and then lets talk.

Well as tough as you made yourself seem, wouldn't the heater in your truck be sufficient? Don't criticize then get defensive when someone points back at you with your same critique. I was just kidding by the way.. You making fun of crawl control was the equivalent of me making fun of heated seats.. And I've actually worked in N. Dakota, Wyoming, Minnesota, and Colorado in the past for many years. That was cold enough for me..

Yes, the "I was just kidding", "can't you take a joke" or "you're getting defensive comeback."

Let's agree to disagree then and leave it at that.

So creative.. Yes I'm sure everyone in Alberta, Canada and even up in Alaska has heated seats like you do.. You know, because it's so cold.... So yes, let us just disagree..

You do know heated seats come is a part of a package up here don't you, just like how in the US you can buy a DCSB Auto and we can't.
