This video should end the debate of what the best oil filter is

I found a new video that will end the debate once and for all about the "best" oil filter...but first you'll have to read through all this to see why this filter works for my driving style:

I live in Oregon where it does not get very hot or very cold. I don't tow or haul (unless it's couple hundred pounds of tents and camping stuff in the back). My truck has 200,600 miles on the 2.4 with the 5-speed. So this is what I do for oil changes:

I buy WHATEVER brand of FULL synthetic 10-30 from O'Reily to NAPPA, Mobile 1, or Valvoline, or whatever the hell else is on sale.

I buy the 5-quart jug and that's all I put in to make sure it's always a little underfilled.

My owner's manual that says dinosaur oil should be changed every 5,000 miles. So I don't even think of changing it until I hit over 6,000 miles. And only then do I get off my lazy ass to pick a weekend to change it, but it's always under 7,000 miles when I do. Many on here will say it's a waste of synthetic oil not to wait 7,500 to 10,000 miles, but I do 90% of my driving in stop-start traffic around Portland.

This damn engine is so well built that in 6 years of ownership I have NEVER had to top up the oil between changes. Yeah it gets nearly 3/4 down on the dipstick near the end before changing, but I like my oil underfilled to keep those ancient oil seals from getting too much pressure.

My driving style is grandma all the way; I never rev the engine or drive hard. I want this 27-year-old truck to last me another 27. And here's the best part; before I go to work in the morning, I idle 1 full minute to make sure everything expands and the oil gets warm & loose before backing out of the driveway. When I get off work I'm too damn impatient to wait a full minute, so about 30 seconds is all I can stand before I drive the hell out of there. Point is I never just take off on a cold motor.

My mileage is a little strange. When I first bought the truck it would get an astounding 25-miles per gallon right after an oil change, then a few months later get down to 23-miles per gallon. It did that for years. However, today (doing my exact same driving routine) I always get 22-miles per gallon rain or shine. So I guess that shows some kind of wear. Now for the oil filter: I usually went for the WIX Gold filters that are on sale at NAPPA, but now I exclusively buy Mobile 1 off of Amazon to have them delivered to my door and save me a drive. And now for the promised video that shows that was the right call. Enjoy:

Damn, I was really hoping this video would cover what the best off road tire is, and the biggest size I could use with no lift.

Why not just use OEM filter?

    I didn’t watch the video.
Because watching it won’t end the debate.
I’ll just keep using ones that are somewhere between “the best” and “the worst”.

Can you imagine actually having the thought, "Wonder if a RTT will affect my mileage?" Then opening up something like TW, going to start a new thread, typing that thought out into a post and then clicking, "create thread," before:
A- Your brain says, "Yes, yes it obviously will."
B- Taking two seconds to Google/DuckDuckGo, hell even Bing it.
Let alone making a video about it...in 2023.

Way back long ago, I did try a K&N oil filter. Damn thing backed off a bit and started leaking while I was out and about. Needless to say it created a hell of a mess and could've been catastrophic. Never again.

Yeah... I was hoping it was another: "10,000k between changes with 10W40 (20W50 in the summer) and house-brand-filter from Dollar Tree every other change whether it needs it or not" oil thread. oh-well :bored:
