    I don't always use them nowadays, but I used to use them religiously on my old Honda and I've never had a single issue with them. But I think I'll buy a case of OEM ones just because it's easy and cheap lol

    Well, to be fair that was way back when it was easier to drop the truck off at the neighbor's house and have him do all the routine maintenance to the truck. Master Tech, did a ton of side jobs at home and my kid was a few months old. Way to swamped with taking care of my son. Back then there was no heading out to the garage to work on anything. It was much easier to drop it off with the neighbor or take it to oil changers and I wasn't going to trust those kids at oil changers. Anyway, we figured he just didn't crank it down enough. He did say it was odd going on in that it took more turns than an OEM or Mobil 1.Figured since the K&N has a thicker gasket on it, that most likely was the cause.

    Oh well. Sorry OP for the side derail although related I guess lol.
