It'll be a while before I actually use the lockers. Spring.

But, I can tell you already that I love the 4.56's.

How much did your gas mileage improve?

Improve? I've never figured out my mileage. I can tell you for sure that nothing I've done to the truck has made it better though... :D

I would imagine that it got a little worse due to the higher RPM's though.

Ok I'm doing to ask a stupid question now.

I don't have the time or the place to do the mod. I went by the differential shop today they qouted me 1500 for the swap. Who ever she called said that since my diffs only had 20k miles I'd get a good credit for them.

He is the stupid question, if I get them to install the differentials, and get an air locker like yours for the rear. How would you plug the air supply hole till a later date ?
Could I run it like that ?

$1500? Is that parts and labor, or just labor? That obviously does t include the cost of the locker.

You can run it like that. If I had to plug the fitting, I'd find a piece of rubber hose that fit tightly, Clamp it onto the fitting, put a bolt in the other end of the hose, and clamp that in.

That, or electrical tape, rubber cap, anything to cover it. I'd prefer the small length of rubber hose though.

1500 was parts and labor for the regear.
The powertrex locker would be about 300/to 500 more. Those air locker are about 1k

Looks like I might just have to add an air locker to my wish list. My wife said yes to regear , I told her it would pull the boat better.
I should tell her the air locker will help when the boat ramp is nasty.

Just run the air line into the engine bay and then connect it to the compressor later, easy peasy
