I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
I love mine it agree it competes the truck. All my shit stays dry and dust free and the added weight helps in the snow. i really like the DC's with a camper top.

I own a Leer, and it came with the truck when I bought it, I took it off and I prefer it off then on, though I am thinking about keeping it and using it on road trips and during winter months. :)

    130 pounds, huh?

The aluminum shell on my old rig was a lot less than that. I could get that thing off & move it around by myself, practically with one arm.

That was handy, but I'd rather have the weight, now. (With 2WD I need all the help I can get.)

I'll just remember to get some help if I ever want to "pop" the new fiberglass shell off.

Had a Leer on my '93:

Going to put one on my '11, when I pick it up in a couple of weeks. I have three Dalmatians, and they loved riding in the '93, and hate riding in my FJ Cruiser, because they have to be in a kennel in that scratch prone POC. FJ leaving, Taco coming, dogs will be happy!

Trying to decide what to get. Leer is decent, and a heck of a lot cheaper than a SnugTop, (about $1K cheaper).

The best thing I ever did for my truck was add a cap.

I love mine. During baseball season, all the team equipment fits inside without worrying about it getting stolen. It also makes the window tint darker.

I love mine. I've got a BedRug, lights, curtains (Velcro window covers), a Futon and a tailgate lock. I sleep in mine and it's heaven.

RZRob ... Nice! Any inside pics? Are the curtains just simple velcro hanging off the headliner?

What kind of shell is that? I'm a new 2011 AC TRD Sport owner (metallic gray) and I'm looking for a shell. I was planning on driving up into the mountains this weekend to take some pictures for my first post (the mountains being the only things I can add to my stock taco at the moment) but I'm getting a little obsessed with picking out a shell.

Also, with the shell, I was thinking a tailgate lock would be unnecessary (unless you're taking the tailgate off occasionally) ... am I missing something?

On mine, if you open the tailgate, the top's door will lift.

I believe its a Leer 180... but I could be wrong.

Depending on the locking mechanism of the rear window, you may or may not need a tailgate lock.
