On levels of bad, I have a few friends with worse clutches than mine, but both of them are running over 1000whp on E85, I am only at 760whp on 91 octane. I don't run E85. A lot of the Sti's and Evos are running E85 with aftermarket tunes.

Well it's official gentlemen. I just pulled the trigger and traded in my 2020 Tacoma VooDoo Blue for a brand new 2021 Toyota Yaris, access cab, V-6, 4x4, 6-speed Manuel Transmission. I'll post more pictures after I get a little mud on the tires.

My daily is a 2013 TDI SEL Premium with every option in auto and I love it. I live over 5400 feet and it suffers about 5MPG, but I can take a road trip for 7-800 miles. If you are at sea level you can literally pull high 50s at 60-65 on flat terrain.

I had a couple tdi, but loved my 2015 manual Jetta the most. Fully loaded, real torquey, incredible mileage, needed stiffer suspension

Because I enjoy shifting my own gears. The only reason I bought Tacoma because it was the only truck with a manual transmission with 4WD and V6. I have to admit that there are days when I get stuck in traffic that I get tired with the clutch but I can't imagine driving this truck without a MT.20191125_082507.jpg

There is nothing like the sound of a stick shift racing. Here is a vid I made of my buddies car, when he rented the track to do tunning runs. It was a great day hot day 96 degrees. turn the audio up:D Trap speed is what matters for me as launching these cars is hard

    Good run.

That is the funny thing that I do laugh at (internally). Exhausts on ATs of any type just don't sound good between shifts, ever, to my ears.

First car was a manual, my taco was the second car I have ever owned. Figured I'd continue my tradition.

I remember my youth of hanging out in the import car scene in the 90s and 00s. Everyone laughs when you hear that 1-2 automatic shift. Mentally I know that autos can shift faster than me, but still.

Glad it was not just me. :D

Eye blink shifts are great, I suppose. IMHO, AT shifts are either smooth with a common slushbox / CVT or harsh and shit-tay with sportier types. I don't like it, personally.

I’m a 3 pedal fan, searched high and low for my F80 M3 6spd. Even though it was a touch slower than the DCT I still wanted it. For the Taco I got an auto. The wife can drive a manual but it’s easier on her to have an auto. She only drove the M3 a couple of times and was never as comfortable when she was having to shift...

I have a trailer hooked up a lot with the Taco and it’s easier to maneuver with an auto. There are days I wish I had a manual in the Taco but I’ll save that for the next fun car.

Yeah if you are wanting a new Manual Truck you are limited to either a Gladiator or Tacoma, looks like you made a good choice.

My first two vehicles were MT. If I could have my truck in MT I would have jumped on it in a heartbeat.

As I have made mention in other threads, I am never in a hurry as I plan my day with time buffers and never late to where I am going. Therefore I can honestly say that I too drive my manual the same way in traffic. Just idle along when I get into any stop/go traffic, rarely use the clutch unless I come to a complete stop, and keep a gap. I will get there just as fast (or sooner) as those dick drivers folks that can't plan their day, leave late, or are generally just impatient. It's those clowns that either get into an accident on their own, or cause an accident with someone else.

He's all good. He's just another MT driver posing as an AT driver to stir the pot here. He's playing the role pretty accurately I might add.
