I like manual for open road and off road, but in town traffic no. The stop and go sucks.

Oh crap, almost forgot the Pep Boys wing slapped on the back of the poor car.

    :puke:

Fast tuner cars are cool. That shit was just lame.

Edit, jeez, it put a link to Pep Boys in my post?

Often enough you stop thinking about it. Like anything else you do repeatedly. Do you have to think about walking when you step up onto the sidewalk and turn left? Learning was a pain, stalling is embarrassing, blah, blah, blah. I’m still glad I’m able to drive one and enjoy the experience. In other words,
    “Eh, what trouble?”

TW does that automatically for some stuff, like Walmart and Amazon. It helps pay the bills without us having to see shittastic adverts.

Edit: It looks like Walmart exited the plan?

But, walking takes too many steps, esp when I'm standing in line.

Tacomaworld is pretty low key when it comes to ads compared to other forums I have been on. Some are almost unreadable.

I used to lift just as it was about to shift, then floor it again to get that manual sound. Dumb. Sounded like a muppet when I timed it wrong and pretty sure it contributed to the early demise of that trans (well that and all the burnouts :p) 40 yr old me would give 20 yr old me a disappointed shake of the head.

In the early 00s I had an auto Prerunner that I would manually move the auto shifter on just to pretend like I had a manual (missed my manual Dodge I had before it, even though it was a huge POS).

One day, without thinking I bumped the shifter on the Prerunner up into reverse while going ~40mph, it made some god awful grinding sounds and the truck stalled in the middle of the road. Luckily it started up and was seemingly OK, I never manually moved that shifter while driving again though.

I broke Brave browser I can no longer enter replies. How to I fix this? Are there settings I haven't been able to find?
The watched threads notification has changed too.

Update: I restarted Brave and the problem is fixed.

I do it. It's pointless to get to another place to stop as fast as you can.

Reason for manual - reliability, control, and why be a passenger with a steering wheel?

Use to plow snow with my tacoma manual. Told my daughter her first car will be a manual. I wanted her hands not on the phone.

Not really the point was just to stir the pot a little. I love my manuals plus I understand them and can do more of my own work on them. I have also never had a major internal failure like I have with autos. Lots of people say they don't like the taco in the auto because of the way it shifts but I haven't ever driven one so I can't say. Now I need another auto guy though. Let's see....Brad. 3rd gen Brad. He has a set of maxtrax and a roto pack that havent been used once since he bought them a year ago. 3rd gen Brad will tell you all about why autos are better insert devil face here and hahahahaha. That's just a joke I might be immature but not quite that immature lol have a good Friday guys. You can block this guy to if you want but you should probably know that if you do I will just giggle delete it then make another one.

Yeah I am starting to agree with bagel boy-"Congratulations on being fish in a barrel and liking it". Not sure if I'm talking to $yoda$ or "TomDickandHarr" "y". You say you love Manuels and are playing the "devil's advocate" but your coming across as a dude that wants to stir the pot with M/T owners. So I ask, WHF ? And what is all this talk about about "You can block this guy to if you want but you should probably know that if you do I will just giggle delete it then make another one" ? Really ? You seem like a really good person so let's stop the negativity.....

Manual single cab Tacoma. Perfect first car for a girl. Too busy to have her hands on the phone, interior too small for boys to have their hands on her.

Unlike my wife who got a conversion van when she was 17.
