So i found a deal on a grill surround advertised as Mag Gray. looking at the pics I thought it looked light, but the seller was sure it was mag gray. I get it and compare it to my truck and yeah, its a lot lighter in shade and doesn't look liek the photo's of the mag grey surrounds i've seen. I went ahead and installed it to see how it would look compared to the chrome, not too bad, but I think I am going to go ahead with my plan to just paint my chrome surround and resell this one. Wanted to confirm though that this is the pyrite shade though so I know how to advertise it.

Lousy lighting, but you can see its definatly a differnt shade. it looks even lighter in person.

If it makes you feel better, I wanted Mag Gray and after two confirmation calls that it was an OFF Road not Sport, by the time I got there, it was a sport. Had to go for BSP since I wanted the locker. Mag Gray is nice!

Ok, that makes sense then. Disappointing. So perhaps I should paint this and sell the chrome instead.

Probably come out ahead that way.

I'd imagine it would be easier to paint that one aswell.

One difference from earlier models though is on the 2009s and up the dark inside part of the grille on the color matched and chrome grills is kinda metallic glossy grey where as I think they used to be black, if you're going for a perfect match with what you could buy.

Looks like base model color for the grill. There's no color that it actually matches.

That is the bare bones stock grill. rpparkster has one and it looks exactly like that. The 2nd picture is noticeable but it doesn't look bad at all...It should be easier to paint then the Chrome though. Mag gray is a nice color.
