I am an hvac tech and this is the first time I do anything on a car that is this involved.

The header came in well wrapped as previously stated by other people here. LCEs customer service was good at answering questions.

    Tips

Make sure you have a 12mm wrench as it isn't shown in the video being used but I couldn't find any other way to get the middle bottom nut tight without it.

Make sure you have an air compressor with a gun. Not that side one they show you real easily simple the guy reading off a paper with his calm voice for 5 seconds telling you to remove the spring screws like it's nothing while I'm stuck for 2 hours trying to get it off with a ratchet with no success. GET A GUN!!

You can always get new gaskets and do it again.

Negative. Just another option. I've opened my truck up a few times and then said to myself "well crap, redo".

The LCE is a nice piece for sure, the jig they make it with is spot on. I didn't have spring bolts on mine but the header to cat bolts were seized bad on mine too. I just sliced them off with a grinder.

My impacts would just shear them. My electric is 1100 reverse and my Nitrocat 1200K is 1200 reverse.

I'm sure they'll come off just as easy as the last ones did if I ever have to lol

Well I have an auto and have read there isn't much of a difference. Honestly, the way people praise it saying it's the best mod for the 2.7 I was expecting more. That said, I think I gotta let the ecu do its adjustments as I felt the same when i installed the afe drop in. Took a while but noticed a difference.

Don't get me wrong there is some more power felt and overall feels like it does things with ease when coming off a dead stop or even start at idle.

Next is a flowmaster 50 2.25. Maybe next weekend?

Gotta burn that tax return money before it rots :D

I don't think I've owned an electric impact with that much juice. My last electric one had about 650forward.

I tried my 18v ryobi with an impact to socket extension and them bolts just laughed at me. Good thing a buddy of mine had a portable air compressor he let me borrow.

You could always wipe out the ECM and let it go through a drive learn cycle.

I removed the negative side of the battery for like an hour. Would that do it?

Had to when I installed mine. But my old header had a huge crack and a busted collecter gasket too

Yeah. Different class of impacts. I have a general purpose Makita brushless impact then the big 1100 reverse version. The Nitrocat was bought around the time electric impacts were just coming around.

Show me a link to purchase one. I'll have to find a way to justify the purchase soon enough
