Thoughts on Backflip tonneaus?

Anyone use or have any info on the Backflip Tonneau Cover and if they are worth the money?

I want to add one to my 2017 TRD OR 6ft bed.
The Stock one from Toyota is crazy money .. the backflip is $1,000.

My 2017 has the MX4 on it from a previous owner and I'm pretty impressed with it. Nice, snug fit. Seals well, I get very little water inside even driving in the rain. Heavy downpours and wind some water finds a way in. First tonneau cover I've ever owned, other trucks all had caps so I don't really have anything to compare this with. I haven't had any reason to fully remove it yet so not sure how difficult that might be.

 

fan boy for the MX4. had it about 2 years...best part is how it sits 'even' with the bed side.
Secure enough with tailgate locked.
look around, I found mine about $850....but that was a bit ago.

 

I was looking at the MX4 myself... they seem pretty well made.

I bought a Revolver and the vinyl tore from drying out/high use. Not sure if conditioning regularly would've change the outcome, but it was also 2 years old. I've seen it happen on a couple other brands too. If I did it again I'd probably get a complete soft cover, or tri-fold.

 

I have the MX4 and overall I’m happy with it. I can store things in the bed, I can fold it up when hauling taller items or I can completely remove it in 2 minutes. I’ve had it on for about 15 months and don’t notice any cracking or fading, but I keep my truck in a the garage. It isn’t completely waterproof, which I’m fine with. There’s a thread on here suggesting where to add some weatherstripping if that’s your goal.

 

I'm waiting on my MX4 for my DCLB OR to arrive (has been shipped). Got if for $750 new during an early Black Friday special the vendor had.

 

I love my MX4 cover. It’s a full bolt on rail, no clips. Looks perfect, I love mine. Tell them your a member of the forum for a discount.

 

I don’t know about the MX4, but my Factory trifold leaks like a sieve and doesn’t seem worth the money.
