I am considering a Bakflip folding bed cover and there are 2 versions I am interested in....the G2 and FiberMax.
From what I understand the main difference is the top layer, G2 is aluminum and Fibermax is some sort of plastic.
I am looking for thoughts from owners of these as to which one you picked and why. I realize this may be a matter of opinion.
I went by a local dealer but they only had the MX4 which is not available for our 1st gens.
    Thanks

Not an owner of either, but looks like the cost is about $90 more for the fibermax. I guess that's supposed to be more scratch/dent resistant.

If that seems worth the extra $90, whip out the credit card.

Was the dealer not able to explain the differences to you?

The dealer must not sell many because I did not get a detailed comparison more than what the website says. I guess I am looking for thoughts on the top "finish" (smooth or textured) and durability. Is the G2 easier to scratch since it is painted aluminum over the Fibermax material?? Which one looks more matte black finish? Again, I realize this may be subjective and I may have to make a drive to find a dealer that has both so I can put my hands on them.

    Working on it.
I’m shopping for a bed cover too. I’ve seen several MX4’s for sale on FB with dents that appear to have been caused by hail. I looked at another brand today that was some kind of composite (plastic). I really like the way the Bakflips work but was leaning away from them due to the thin aluminum construction, I haven’t seen a Fibermax yet.

So....I ended up getting the G2. It was almost $100 cheaper than the Fibermax. I installed it myself in about 45 minutes and I took my time.
    I am happy
