I would never use any of those miracle in a bottle stuff. Rather I would fix the root cause.

The only miracle in a bottle I go with is a cheap bottle of Paul Masson

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
Blue Devil was the best Head Gasket repair at $60.00 a bottle !

No idea about the oil stop leak.

I could see if your 1000 miles from home as a band aid to get home. In any case it would only seal a small leak or leaks.

Me I would buy a case or 2 of Walmart oil dump in a quart every 50 or 100 miles as needed.

One should NEVER add any secondary product to your oil. Ever.

    My thought is, why?

If your vehicle is pissing black spots on the drive, find out why. Then fix the dribble.
