Thoughts on buying this 2016 with multiple issues?

I have the opportunity to buy 2016 4 door, SR5, 4x4 auto, 13,200 mi. for a low price. The catch is that the truck withstood some amount of water damage. enough that the seller made note of it in sales description. That said, the title has not been reissued as salvage, and the truck still has almost 2 years remaining on warranty. Auto Check gave it a clean rating and a 95 score.
However, when I went last week to pick up, the dealer (not Toyota) said sorry when went to start we discovered starter was bad. Now repaired. It was to be delivered today, (for free), a couple of hundred miles to my place. Now seller calls and tells me driver called him from the road and reported check engine light and some other (undisclosed) light came on. In short driver returned to base to have this checked out.
I'm getting skittish! Price for me to complete the deal is 26,750.00 which is so tempting, but I obviously want to be more careful than greedy. Anybody? should I go or should I stay?

 

I would walk away. The price is too close to new with known issues.

Like others have mentioned, don't walk, run away. Electrical gremlins caused by water damage are not worth trying to track down and fix

 

The bitterness of a POS will linger far longer than the sweet taste of a low price.

It sounds like this thing was sitting in a pool of water for a couple of weeks if it has starter problems.

 

And if it was enough to soak the starter, I wonder how well the leaky axle fared?

You're crazy if you buy it. You can pay a few thousand more and get a new truck with no issues, or you can save a few grand and pick up a pile of shit.
You're not getting a good deal, you're getting someone else's problem that was smart enough to get rid of the truck to begin with.

Buy it for $5,000, otherwise run far away.

 

If the ecu or electronics in the cab were effected, the problems will never end.

 

Water damage most likely would void out your factory warranty.

 

Buy a nice low mileage 2015 instead...

 

Just to be different, I'll be a jerk and say buy it. Buy it now before someone else does.

 

Are you seriously considering it for that price? That is barely OK for it if it was in perfect condition.

 

Offer them 19k and then promptly buy an extended warranty?
