    none yet/none planned! It's perfect!
I have heard that once a car goes to a salvage title that the warranty is voided. I would check to make sure.

Somebody in your past is trying to protect you from impending disaster. Heed the warning. Why do you want to fix someones else's problem?

    And welcome to TW.

Hopefully you get the gist of what most members are saying.

I did not know anything about Toyota Tacomas before becoming a member, but there is a "world" of knowledge here. Hang around, and you will be better informed.

There are used car dealers that might try to sell a vehicle that is not sound- not saying that the dealer selling the SR5 is one, but any good newish Tacoma should not be having the problems you describe.

    Good luck.

Don't do it! Now, if it was 10k, it may be a consideration, but $26k, you can find a better used truck for that price, without the headaches.

EDIT: just because the title isnt a salvage or lists it on Car Fax, doesnt mean it is not salvage worthy and the current blue book value is only in the $25k range.

"good" ones, new, have problems. I wouldn't sign up for a jacked up truck with all sorts of electrical issues

I wouldn't touch with a 10ft pole. I've been in the insurance industry. These vehicles have multiple issues and are never correct.

Not trying to be a jerk, but I can't believe you have even gotten this close to buying that bucket of shit. He was trying to drive the shit bucket to your house and it broke down before you could fork over your cash. You should feel lucky and grateful it didn't make it to you.

Could be just a loose gas cap. There's about 3 lights that go off with that.

    I'm with @Tunngavik

    Buy it.

But the price has to drop another 5k now. Let the warranty handle any issues the first year, then trade it. You'll get all your $ in trade value, so you'll have had a free truck for a year.

I mean other than the down time it was getting warrantied.

Or not. How lucky are you feeling? :D
