I recently purchased a 2017 Taco Off-Road. I'm looking into purchasing additional mods, but need a direction or suggestions from others. Thanks in advance!

I started really simple with mine. Weather tech vent shades, had driver & passenger windows tinted, and blacked out the chrome body badges with Toyota badge covers and tailgate lettering inlays.

Probably won’t do anything structurally until the warranty runs out.

If you are looking into mods, think first what you are using the vehicle for. Better yet, use your truck and then see where it's lacking.

A common theme here is often massive overkill.

Want to do a bit of off roading? Then at minimum you need a full set of steal skids, sliders, Kings front and rear with extended travel, 33's etc etc. :p

I’ve looked at those, and just didn’t like the look. I’m sure they’re durable.

I currently have the following mods so far:

    BF Goodwich All-Terrain 33's tires
    Leveling kit
    newer performance exhaust tip
    tinted full cabin windows
    vent visors
weathertec floor mats and bed mat
    sidebars
brand-new led head, tail, and parking lights
Additional smaller accessories for the cabin such as: glove compartment organizer and center console organizer, inserts for cupholders and side door storage

What I was thinking for my next big purchase is a camper shell preferably a Leer 100XQ Sport? Any thoughts??

The purpose of my vehicle is for it to be that perfect mix between off-road go-getter to everyday cruiser as I just recently sold my daily vehicle.

I forgot to mention floor mats as well, mine were tacked on at the dealership.

If you don't want to drop $2k for a shell, look at Softopper. They are awesome. There are downsides, but they are cheaper, and more versatile. https://www.softopper.com/

Are you able to stack stuff and feel that it’s secure with tiedown?

The general rule of thumb for any mods is “buy nice or buy twice”. Don’t get cheap crap because it’s a short cut. Just save your pesos for the real thing.
