Looking at buying a 2002 Tacoma 4x4 that is located out of my local state. The seller sent me these pictures of the frame.

What are your opinions, should I even go look at it, I don't see isany holes, or is it something I should walk away fromIMG953372.jpg IMG953370.jpg IMG953371.jpg

With all the frame rot problems on these trucks I would stay away. Those pics don’t show you all the trouble areas but you can see there is a bunch of rust. Obviously you do what you want, but if it were me, I’d pass.

if the truck is cheap, it may be worth it to go check it out, but if not, pass

The thing is that these frames rust from the inside out... so you will definitely need to bang the frame thouroughly with a hammer to find out if it's still solid.
The worst area for rust is where the leaf springs attach to the frame right behind the cab and also the inner frame rails by the gas tank and the catalytic converter

If the frame is good, you can't just let it be like that. You will have to wirebrush the rust off, treat it with a rust converter, repaint, then rustproof. This can be a lot of work depending on how bad it is... So keep that in mind for the price

Anyway, if you can't go check the truck in person and use a hammer on it, pass

Not only the frame (but the frame is the biggest concern) but think about all those rusty bolts you will have to deal with for the rest of the life if that truck. So even if the frame is in state that can be restored you will need to replace (eventually) whole bunch of other parts that are rusted or bolted with rusted bolts and nuts.
