I was talked out of K02s, hard to find Falken tires here in Canada so I have narrowed my options down to either Firestone Destination A/Ts or Hankook Dynapro A/T-Ms.

Love the look of these tires and they seem to be decent in winter. Any experience?

I had the hankook on my land cruiser. They wear very good. Almost to good when you are wanting new tires. I did notice toward the end of there life the performance got worse. The tread is built like a pyramid. So the more you wear them the larger the lugs get and the smaller the voids get. So you lose a lot of traction. I ran them year round in Montana. They do ok in snow but not a snow tire. They are a great budget A.T.

I ran them on a 2500 HD in 35's. I loved the tire.

I did replace the Hankooks with duratracs. They were the best tire I have ever driven in the snow and ice. They dug through deep snow great. I cant speak for longevity because I had to sell the land cruiser before they wore much.

Had them on my 4Runner and absolutely hated them. They sucked on ice and were not much fun in slushy conditions. They were fine in fresh powder and snow pack. Got KOs after and they were night and day better. Have KO2s on my Tacoma now and they've been great. No way would I ever do the Hankooks again unless I lived in a warmer climate.

Spent a week on them recently and they are pretty loud for what they are.

This is where I’m at now, they’re terrible, should’ve paid the premium upfront and have gotten something worthwhile

Lol no definitive answers on any tire. Maybe the Firestones are worth a more serious look.

Want something that looks retro-ish. K02s were my first choice but they are only available in like 10 ply in my size so that's out. Destination ATs look like the next best option.

Those Hankook tires always make me think ass to mouth. I just can't change my thinking about them. BUT, know a guy in a pro-4x with them on there and he had about 40k miles on them last time I saw him. There was about 2 inches of snow and slush and there was a little slip and slide as he left. Mine didn't slip at all (stock wrangler adventure kevlar). I was surprised at his slipping with not much on the ground.

On the dirt, mud, sand, and slop though his tires held up very well.

When the OEM tires wear out, I will probably go with the Hankook ass to mouth tires given our weather down here in southeastern PA/philly. I like how they still hold up in the muck at 30-40k miles and how reasonable his road noise is for the price of the tires. If I lived north of maybe NY/CT border area, I would probably avoid them after I've seen him slip in a little snow and heard him complain about sliding in deeper snow.

Can you get Dean tires in Canada? They make a BF look alike tire that I am pretty sure you can get in non-400 ply E-rated... IT is called the Back Country I think???

I have them currently and my last truck had the firestones. Firestones were better on ice/snow I think, but the hankooks look better and hold up better to rock and off roading so far. I don't think either are a great tire if I'm being honest. They're cheap and they do the job.

Have them on my Frontier Pro-4x in P265/75R16. After two years and 25,000km they have proven to be very good. I'm offroad often and haven't had a puncture, the tread shows minimal even wear and no chunking. Road manners are comfortable and quiet, they seem to grip well in all conditions. Wouldn't hesitate to buy them again!

I am on my second set of Hankook Dynapro ATM and I would say they are ok. I put over 60,000 miles on the first set with no problems. I have an 05 regular cab with 245 75 16's on mine.

I put Hankook DynaPros on my wife's old FJ, and my previous truck. We both loved them. Great snow traction and long life. I usually have my radio on, so didn't notice a tire noise difference.
