I noticed that the japanese arent looting or fighting. i saw them standing in line for water, and no one was shoving, everyone was being very polite.

 

Well, for one, that is the more logical decision. It's literally on their door step. I would be doing less spectating and more *doing* as well.

 

some people dont seem to be joking... it may be off topic but i wonder why people hate california and the people that live here so much... and "because they are damned horrible" isnt an answer.

Not all are being callous too, but i do agree where you are coming from. It would be nice if compassion was here in an underlying way. To me there is very little room for humor along this thread,but if a light moment can be had, at no expense to a state, nationality or such , i bit is welcome in reasonable taste.

 

this is because most(i said most) japanese dont think they are owed anything from anyone. They are a hard working society unlike most(again, i said most) the people in America, who want everything handed to them.

 

x2 honor and respect are part of their culture, just think of how the samurai acted. Its definitely a good example to show the rest of the world, although im sure everyone feels that they would rather not have to see them go through all this

Accurate news about the actual problems at the reactors is not being reported to the Japanese people. This is probably the main reason they are so calm.
