Take that Chevy Blazer. Total junk, devalued the whole Blazer name. I’d buy one just to shame GM.

I like the new design, but this would have been so much better and closer to the original.

No one is comparing a 2-door bronco to a Tacoma, most compare it to a Jeep

I hate to say it but Jeep SFA > Bronco IFS

Let me know how 2-door SUV's have faired in sales over the last decade...hint: not well

A 2-Door SUV has proven over the past decade to be too impractical (big reason Jeep introduced a 4-door wrangler). Those vehicles are typically sold to enthusiasts who either just want something different or plan to make changes to it like modifying it for off-road.

I think everyone agrees that it's super cool. I like the new Bronco, would I buy one? No. You can see that most people like it but have not real interest in buying.

I dare someone to really use those limb guards on their pristine $60k+ vehicle like that, what a mall show queen. There isn't enough protection in front or on top to justify those. Now this one is ready for it!37454C3C-85AC-4112-80AB-AF82EF000A40.jpg3DD1A322-264B-4BFE-ADAE-09E8952307E8.jpg

Will you need a special tool to change the spark plugs after they break off in the head?

Fair enough, though I think the fact that they've got a 2-door and 4-door offering (and the sport, which seems to be targeted at soccer moms and dads only comes in the 4-door) tells me that they've already thought about all of that. Tbf I think a big reason the FJ failed wasn't because of the IFS or because of how ugly it was on the outside, it had a lot to do with how damn ugly that thing was on the inside too. Bronco's seem to have that covered, there's lots of tech and comfy looking trim.

Time will tell. I think it's badass anyone is offering 35's from the factory. I hope they do well, I hope they provide some competition to the platforms I like better and I can't wait to see how many gumbies get one and roll them on the trail two days later.

I like it. I hope some of it trickles down to the next gen Ranger - especially the 35s and the 7 speed manual.

The Jeep Wrangler is also 3500# so they matched the competition in that department.

Just how nature intended. I had a 2 door Wrangler, the back seat came out the first week I had it.

Since the Bronco is based on the Ranger which is rated at 7500, I'm thinking Ford may have been very conservative in this rating so that they can easily bump it up in the future.

The coil spring rear suspension will drop it some from the Ranger, but I'll bet it's capable of 5000.

Also, even though it's rated for 3500, that's for the 2 door as well as the 4 door.

The Wrangler 2 door is only rated for 2000.

They definitely set out to compete with Jeep, I think they did a helluva good job.

Wheelbase has to play a part of this too, the 4 door has a wheel base of 116" Thats almost a foot shorter than the DCSB Tacoma. Short wheelbase towing is no fun.
