Should also help when the axle gears are a bit too high for the size tires being run and your starting on a hill. The trim I'm getting has 31.6 inch tires but I plan to put some 33+ tires on. Gearing won't be ideal, but I'll have the low for those few times I need it to get started.

Solid front axle would of made it a killer

Rack-and-pinion steering gives far better steering feel with less slop than a worm box though, so IFS is better in a daily driver. Think of all the people here complaining about minor driveline vibes. They'd completely lose their shit with the mere hint of death wobble.

    - ICON UCAs, BP51/Kings, SCS wheels, 285s, Leer 100XR canopy. Greenlane aluminum winch bumper, Smittybilt X20 winch. Trying Falken AT3w now, Really like BF KO2s.
Prob would compete with the Tacoma.
Bed size doesn’t look much different than the 5 foot box, prob will fit up to 35s with no work, and come with diff locks, wheelbase might even be a bit shorter than the Offroad.

Oh yea IFS is absolutely superior to solid front axle when it comes to everyday driving , however it seems like the bronco was designed to be off road oriented rather than daily/weekend warrior like our trucks. Also it seems like ford designed this to compete with the Wrangler. 35 inch tires, winch bumper, sliders and even crawl gear all from factory? They were so close to making it a true off road vehicle but fell short with the front end

If I were a mod I would put a Spoiler tag on that pic.

Just giving some vendor the very idea of an Angry Birds grille for the new Bronco should be punishable by a forced viewing of a full season of Kardashians.

But now that I've seen the pic, I know in my heart of hearts that it's going to happen. :( :sadviolin:

I come from the TJ world. The JK had the same response. It brought in people that weren't what some typically thought of when you heard Wrangler owner. It was people that wanted a 4 door convertible. There were multiple threads a day on that subject . Although the JK was still a pretty rugged vehicle, I lost that loving feeling b/c it wasn't what I thought a Wrangler should be.

I really like the new Bronco on paper. I hope they are reliable, but still hold their value like a Ford:rofl:...…..if so, I'd probably buy a used 2 door a few years down the road. I've been a Toyota fan since 95 when I got a new T4R, and have no intentions of getting rid of the Tacoma. It's great for my intended uses.

Why is it you have to order the badlands edition to get vinyl flooring and marine grade seating and can't get it in the base model and are stuck with cloth. That would be a cool option. Really I'd want a base with the Sasquatch and the vinyl flooring and seating and be good everything else is meh. I'd also get the larger engine. Everything else they can keep. No frills just function.

We'll have to see how Ford prices the options. It's possible the Sasquatch pkg adds $6000-7000 to the pricetag such that it doesn't make sense to order a base model with it. It's possible dealers will have mostly Badlands and Wildtrak trims on the lot, so ordering a different trim gives you no bargaining power, etc., etc.

6-7g for a bigger front diff, different gears, good wheels and tires is a steal. I spent almost 5g on gearing and lockers installed on my truck. Just saying that package may be worth the price for that. Still I don't see that big of a bargaining power to make up the differenceb and the Badlands are 14g off. Still no 35s and Sasquatch on the badlands

Market for 2-door SUVs is done. Even the 2-door Wrangler is barely hanging on, accounting for some 15% of sales. I suspect the Bronco 2-door will go the way of the FJ, 2-door Tahoe, 2-door RAV4, Isuzu Amigo...

Remember the prev-gen Bronco didn't actually die. Ford just changed to a 4-door version called Expedition.

I get that, but I have no need for a 4 door in a vehicle like that. I prefer the traditional look of the 2 door. I already have a 4 door Tacoma. I'm also single with no kids  I would only be interested in the 2 door Bronco......with the caveat that it's reliable and holds it's value like a normal Ford

So I doubt I'll get one

    I dig the looks.
    Don’t dig the reliability.

If I ever want one I can probably just buy one used in 5 years for 10k-15k considering how fast Ford loses its value.

How many people actually want a solid off roader tho? And if you're willing to invest that much into a solid dedicated off roader do you really want to go with the brand that makes trucks that last 30k miles? I think this truck is going to sell just like the gladiators do in my area, to people who dont really care about off roading but they want a cool truck.
