    Truth.

The Fox body Mustang almost single handedly reignited the musclecar era in 1982.

It's where the legend of the "5.0" started.

And now 3 stock Broncos have completed the Rubicon Trail.

There's also a video linked but I haven't watched that yet.

It's good they took a model without the Sasquatch Pkg on the trail. The Bronco seems to have a lot of stuff hanging below the frame like the JK / JL Wranglers. A Tacoma would scrape less on the belly but drag the hitch coming off each obstacle. The "ears" on my hitch (for hooking trailer safety chains) are bent from rock crawling.

Why is this in the 3rd gen section? :)

I took my 3rd gen on that trail with 34's, 2.5 lift, sliders, and front bumper and did not do so well. My group gave up half way-ish because it was going to cause way too much damage and took forever in our trucks. The Jeeps in our group did it fairly well. To clear that trail, you need a high clearance rear bumper and some earmuffs to drown out all the sounds you're going to hear on the poor body.

Yeah, IFS and rock crawling is not a good match. For that kind of trail I'll take a Jeep 10 times out of 10.

That’s way more of a trail than most will ever do, pretty good that it’s on 33s and stock suspension.

I like the new Broncos. By going out on the trail, they are taking a page from the FJCruiser playbook. For those it was after they launched. They paid folks to travel around and attend events with stock FJs and go on trail rides. I got to ride with a couple at a United 4WD fundraiser in Oak Ridge, VA back in the day. They jumped in our group because we were the cool kids...or it may have been because we had well outfitted rigs including my Pinzgauer. The FJs did well and only one sat out on one day because they had crappy tires and we had a rain/snow mix so it was nasty on the trails.

On the last day of the trail ride, we heard 'who wants ice cream' over the radio. All the kids beat the old guys to one FJ with a freezer full of ice cream.
