If thats an issue for you than you should definitely take that into consideration before deciding to buy this truck. The 4th gen is higher, or at least higher than my 3gen sr. So my dog has to jump a little higher to get in.

Yea it's notably taller than my past 3rd gens. I can get in it just fine despite my bum left knee.

Installed last night, just sat in for a minute and it felt much better.

Kit comes with 4 spacers, 2 thicker and 2 thinner. Install one, the other or both depending on the angle you want. Just the thicker one works best for me. Will do the passenger side next, will try just the thinner ones, if sufficient, I just need 2 new bolts. Otherwise, I'll order a new kit.

@Want-a-taco please keep providing updates as your issues resemble mine. I will have power seats, but I think these will help also. You added the spacers to the rear of the seats, correct?

That's correct. On cars with power seat, it's usually possible to raise/lower the front independently from the back. I could also with my 1988 Camry and 2012 Xterra because they had 3 knobs on the side for adjustments.

I'm confused but your pricing explanation. You can get a manual OR with the upgrade package and it's $4,625 and gives you power seats.

In Canada, we have limited options for MT. TRD OR or TRD Sport, and it's not possible to add on options to either of those. We get them as-is or not at all.

Went for a short drive, 12km round trip. Feels much better, especially on the left leg when having to hold the clutch in at a stop or light.

    Agree with this 100%.

I bought the front kit for the front 2 seat bolts off Amazon for $30 CDN. Greatly improved seat comfort, did not impact visibility out the front windshield, headroom or shifting (I've got a manual).

A little tighter to get knees around the steering column while getting in the truck and the keys jangle on my knees a bit more - but this is nothing major. As an FYI I'm 6 foot tall.

@Want-a-taco - thanks for the update. Even the my new to me (still looking for the right one) OR comes with power seats, I still may give these a try.

Yeah the seats are lower, which caused a problem with the seatbelts. When I first got into mine, the seatbelt was rubbing up against my leg and my stomach. When I talked to Toyota, they said just to lift the seat up higher. They are very uncomfortable and there’s little to no room in the back. This will be my fourth Toyota and my third Tacoma and I have to say this one is very disappointing.

This. 2G and 3G seating was “on the floor” compared to a more conventional arrangement in the 4G.

YMMV, but I vastly prefer the 4G seats.

I need to try the to get the rear of my front seat up a bit due to 3 crushed disc’s in my lower back. I use the pump on side of seat but it drops down over time and really hurts when I go long distances. The seat jackers work on 4th gen? The jungle site don’t have them yet for 4th gen, that I have seen anyone got a link?

I don’t even have 1000 miles on my new fourth GEN. I have had nothing but issues with the seat, the safety belt and the comfortability of the truck. This thing is built like crap it rattles and shakes and makes all kinds of noises when driving down the road. The seats are uncomfortable, the Lombard support cracks and crinkles like it’s not actually hooked up correctly. My suggestion would be keep your third GEN. I miss mine .
