Thoughts on the Wescott Designs trd sport preload collar kit?

I have a 23 trd sport that I am looking to do a lift on. Of course I got the sport since I dont really off road and just want a small lift for looks and potentially bigger tires. I was curious if anyone had any experience with the WD preload collar kit as I want to keep the stock ride quality with a small lift but heard traditional spacer blocks are not the way to go. Thanks!

 

Many praise it here, I do not. Top hat spacers have less impact on ride. Preload spacers 100% affect ride. They are a combination of both. While safer to run than a top hat but it rides awful. For similar money you can get a couple of 5100 socks.

I vote small spacers or 5100 level.

Wescotts are mainly used by pro owners who want to get a little more higher while using the good fox shocks.

Is that all I need to get the lift or would I need new springs and an add a leaf? I want to keep as much of the sport ride as I can as I do not really do any off-roading and just want a lifted daily. Thank you.

Typically people do a mild lift 2-3 clip on the front with the 5100 and leave stock rear. Or 3-4 clip with add a leaf in rear to have a lift and a tiny bit of rake. 5 tends to ride really rough. Some like it, I don't.

5100's work by using stock springs on adjustable perches.



You then sell the stock blue shocks and get a little bit of money back.

If you decide to lift the rear later, the rear shock has slightly longer travel so its ready for it.

This is basically the Toyota lift kit, but much cheaper.
