Thoughts on these phone mounts?

I liked mine and it seems well built, I just didn't like it on the vent. I ended up buying a single dash mount plate and used the ball and phone mount from this one and I like that even more.

 

I added the Hondo Garage vent mount which appears to mount similar to this one and added the mount. I actually prefer the knockoff X Grip mount to the one I got off Amazon.

The mount base from Hondo Garage is very solid though.

Here they are. I pulled the ball out of the vent mount, then threaded the mounting screw from the bottom of the dash mount. You can't use the 1" ball that comes with the dash mount. I plan on pulling the ball off again and removing the splines just to clean it up a little.

 

I really like mine.
