Hey guys thinking about a 2017 trd. They won't say of its a pro or or. But it's a 6sd 4x4. Has 2 miles and as kind 19k or see what the auction will bring next month. My concerns is the torque curve. I hear it's in the upper rpm band. And it does not have a boxed frame. (But I can box it). Here us a picture of the truck, they say a truck driver loading it to goto a dealership oversteered n hit his own teailer.46.jpg

It's a TRD OR. I don't understand what any of the rest of the post is asking though.

Why didn't the dealer fix it and sell it?

Thinking about buying ut out right. I seen these go around 30k in the auctions. But the only toyota experience I have is the only truck I purchased new, n still own it. It's a 93 toyota ouckuo.

There's no way I'd pay 30k for it.

But if you can get a good deal and can fix it yourself go for it.
As others said that is a trd off road.

To actually answer one of your questions, the 3.5V6 doesn't have much below 2500RPM. Peak torque is at 4400 IIRC. This truck is a manual I gather, so at least you'll have direct control over the transmission. I like mine.

Edit: Just saw the Copart pics, auto trans.

Is there any frame issues since they stopped boxing the frames?

To give you a straight answer, for $19k that seems like a good deal. Figure you'll need a headlight, hood, fender, bumper, rad support, probably a couple other little things, you'd still be under $25k probably all in including paint. Thats a steal.

edit: To answer your question about the torque curve and overall drivability of the truck....youll love it compared to your 25 year old truk you're driving right now. People on here will make you think these 3rd gens are horrible....I love mine and have zero complaints. Id recommend anyone to get into one.
