If that's everything you want then just buy the kit. Keep in mind you may need to modify the brake proportioning valve bracket depending on how high the back is lifted

Awesome thanks.. I can adjust the rear correct? I.E. Lift it 2 inches instead of 3 so I wouldn't need to adjust the brakes?

If you get the rear ToyTec AAL, you won't need to do any brake modifications, as it only gives you 2"

So it will only give me 2" in the rear? It's confusing cause it says 3" lift but it's 2" AAL.

The front sits a little lower than the rear (it's called rake), so if you get a 3" lift for the front and an AAL for the rear, it'll level out. Even stock, the sits so insignificantly lower, you can't notice

Ah, gotcha. So the amount of lift is measured from the front I guess.. Makes sense. What is the purpose of the front sitting lower in the first place?

I'm pretty sure it's just from the engine being up there....I could be wrong though

I've got that, but w/o the diff drop b/c I have a 2wd and w/o the Bilstein's for the rear b/c they're not necessary. It's much cheaper just to buy Bilstein 5100's, Eibach coils, and an AAL

But like DeeKay21 said, it's a great kit, no matter what you decide to do

Hurrrllll yeah should be sweet. And you could just do the coils and shocks on the front, but i don't see why not just put a little extra money into it. The back shocks already got 100k on them, can't hurt to go with 5100's all around.

On a related note, does anyone have any input about how a 3 inch lift will effect the tendency of a tacoma to roll? Can you pretty much drive it like normal on the road or do you need to take it easy on turns?

    Pretty much stock right now
My rear lift is only 1.5", and I needed both a longer break line and proportioning valve extension. The break line was obvious, but the Tacoma mechanic at the dealer pointed out the problem with the valve when my truck was on the lift. The extension is cheap; $15 at Wheeler's.

    Bit of a thread hijack:

Would the AAL be ok with flat leafs? Or would there be reverse rake?
Im looking for suspension as well but my stock leafs are flat. Would rather get a AAL for now and a new pack later this year.
    Thoughts?

You might be okay. The ToyTec AAL (as well as most other brands) are curved and very stiff, so they will still give you lift, maybe just not quite as much as if you had new leafs that were in better shape. It probably won't even be noticeable if you can't notice a height difference between the front and back now
