So, obviously not a 6" lift but seems like a good deal fro what people are saying. But what do I know, I'm in Canada eh! Nice truck to boot if it all checks out and if it's a shitty lift you can do OME 885/5100s up front and Dakar/5100s for a reasonable price.

Look at all suspension find out what is in the back for the lift as well if he works on this from his house there can be alot of things wrong with it as far as mods go. Check for what he might have trimmed to fit the 285 because they don't fit well with 3 inch lift. Ask what else has been done to the truck. Don't be afraid to get dirty and climb under the truck while it's running to check for oil leaks and such I'd help if I was around but I'm not send me a round trip plane ticket and I'll help you :D get pics of top of the lift in front and all angles in the rear so we can help out with what the lift is

Maybe ask him to take tires off to get pics of suspension that makes it alot easier to see if he says no that's fine too just all angles of front and rear and a pic of the recipe would help too

    I wouldn't do that for a buyer. That's a bit unreasonable of a request. ;)

How about taking it to a shop that does lift kits and have them look at it. Scrutinize the shit out of it since its lifted, nothing wrong with a lift unless it's done incorrectly.

    He can see Friday.

I would test drive and I would also check for mud in the frame holes and rear bumper area. If he lies about something so mundane as "4 wheel drive truck never offroaded" then likely he is lying about something important also.

Alright since we're all here and by all I mean the members who seem to help everyone from questions about toaster ovens to lift kits, I'm going to jack this thread for a quick minute, since I'm also always willing to help if I have info to offer. :D

Referring to my AAL spring sag on 2015 Tacoma.

Truck was loaded with shell, camping gear, North Shore bike rack with four mountain bikes. My full suspension Specialized Enduro, my wife's full suspension Specialized Enduro and two kids bikes = sag.:angrygirl:

Shop says load it up with all my gear and they will adjust the arc in the AAL until the truck is level, which is what I think I want...BUT will that give me a ridiculous amount of rake when unloaded and without a shell?

Sorry OP. Thought since we we're all here and it was a fresh thread...fell free to shit on me for 'jacking your thread'...not making any assumptions about your manhood, with a big truck in your future and all...lol. :crapstorm:

So your question is with the AAL but unloaded will you have a ridiculous rake...Correct?

EDIT: Sorry long day and I can't read.

I would think it would have a bit more rake but nothing crazy.

Just saw your other thread. If I had the option I'd definitely go with a full leaf pack but that's just me.

Yeah I was looking at that as an option. The guy said he took it in today to get the oil changed and inspected before selling and he has a bad axle bearing. He's getting it replaced tomorrow so he's being straight up with me.
