I see what you're getting at, but let me put it another way. Those running shoes might be cheaper, they might be more functional, but she damn sure looks better in those Italian heels. The stance is A+. You dig?

4 hours to install a grill with lights sounds reasonable to me. Especially if there's numerous lights that need mounted, or the grill needs cut, wires run, switch mounted, connections made etc.

I don't own a 3rd gen, but I could easily do that work in a second gen in an hour or less with my trusty ratchet and a few sockets. When installing my grill mesh insert, it took about 5 min to remove the grill, another 5 to dremel cut the tabs, 1 min to drill, 5 min to screw it on due to me not having the best screwdriver at the time. If you have installed a set of lights before, then its the same shit assuming they provide the harness and a switch.

OP, I would seriously evaluate what you might be able to handle yourself.

True dat, I only take my truck to a shop with those sort of hourly rates for precise welding and fabrication.

Sounds like OP needs to buy the parts and then wait for an install party.

If you've got the money, do whatever makes YOU happy. It's your truck, don't let others bash what you want or like. Make it how you want it. Personally it seems like a high price but ask for a discount or do some price shopping. Stuff is expensive now days. Make it YOUR truck!

Someone probably already got to this but the 10 hour labor is for installing the lift. It is high but that's not just for tire clearance.

maybe not, but if she can suck a golf ball thru a 6 foot garden hose then there is still potential for use... ( Sorry to all the Ladies on this forum, just meant as a good natured joke.)

    on a side note..to the original OP......Cooper AT3......good choice!!

Overall I'd say it's pretty high but it normally is. Shops generally want their fair share and some when doing this stuff or at least in my experience.

The most overpriced things to me are
    $375 CMC
$185 mount and balance...this should be free considering you bought $2000 worth of wheels and tires from them
11.5 hours at $125 to install the 4 things you are bringing? That's a joke. Those are all very easy installs.

If you really want to save some coin install it yourself...even what's considered "decent" prices for labor is a ripoff in my opinion because you can do it yourself for free or the price of tools which can be used later. But at the end of the day if you got the coin and it's what you want it's not the worst labor sheet I've seen...

A couple cases of beer, few burgers and hotdogs and about four to five quality capable friends with tools and you would be set over a weekend of fun.

Coming from someone who works at a tire shop which also installs lifts, this definitely seems pretty steep. I would price shop before pulling the trigger.
