From the photos I don't see how that can work. The Yakima rack mounts over the bed from the inside.

I ran a rack/cover for awhile! I liked it, kinda miss it!

But I don’t think that combo will work. I had to go with something else..

Right now I have two of the VOODOO racks, but my RTT is longer than the bed(short bed) I did this last summer and it worked but there was a little bit of overhang which i didn't like.

So with this new rack Id like to put the tent over the cab.

I also broke my current tri-fold Tonneau Cover and I need to buy a new one anyways.

Also, what is the height from the bottom of the bed to the top of YOUR cover?

whats the height from the bottom of the bed to the cover?

Do you feel like the Yakima overhaul is sturdy on the t-slots?

By cover you mean the retrax cover? If so, its 19" (same as the depth of the bed) & the rack sits another 13" above the mounting points.

Yes, this setup is by far the stiffest/ sturdiest rack i've dealt with.

Thanks for that. How much space did you lose when you added the cover? 1ft? 1.5ft? or less?

Nothing detrimental. With my longbed I still have 60” of real estate and there’s space under the canister available. My ladder fits fine spanning end to end of the bed.

Thank you, I have the short bed and so I was just wondering how much you lose. But it looks like you don't lose much.
