I have a Rola Vortex on my shell. Thinking of adding another one on my cab. Take off the Yakima rail grabs and just use the OEM roof rack with the Rola. Would that look okay?? They may even be even....

I think it would work well, and look good too! It will probably make a little more noise on the highway.

It would look like a lot to me - do you need both? To me, one roof rack is all.

Thanks. I think you're right. If I did do it, I'd only have it on for out Overlanding trips.

I have the same rack that I want to add to my shell. Been looking for a low profile solution to get the rack close to shell roof.

It's the lowest profile rack that I could find without dropping 500 bucks or more...Just can't justify it now with 2 little ones and day care! This'll do for what I need. I have the Yakima rail system and it works now. Later on I'll save up for a nice Prinsu.

If memory serves me correctly, the Rola will need the extension to fit in OEM bars.

Not true. They will fit just fine without it.
