    If you look at the left side of the driver seat, it tore open. They sewed the remaining material together, hence the 'pinched' look. You should assume this one is just as beat as the others. A few pics can make it look better than it is.

    Do more research... To my knowledge in past research the trd was never released in 97... It came out in 98 or 99... Was never an option for the 95-97 models... Just someone trying to get more money for a standard lx model which it states on the tailgate... Trying to get trd premium on a vehicle that the trd platform didn't even exist when said vehicle was released

    My mistake was introduced in 97... But I'd make sure it's a legit trd and not a base lx with stickers slapped on

    That's the fun of having a truck in high school! My buddy had a 87 Mazda 4x4 pickup we put through hell just being dumb kids. Some of the best times of my life was putting that truck through it's limits! That's why I bought a '79 Toyota Pickup 4x4 for myself about a year ago to do the same thing since he long ago sold the old Mazda for a car.

    Yep, probably introduced in '97 as a '98 model because 1998 was the year TRD and Prerunner Tacomas were introduced.

    Are floor mats a mod?
    Truck has had a front end collision in 1st pic hood and front bumper are not aligned. Maybe just a lil bump.. Check the bumper mounts if they look newer than the rest of the front end they have been replaced. Also check the bolts holding the front fenders and hood if they have wrench marks...otherwise looks like a pretty nice truck!

    I'd offer them 5k for it would be a nice little truck for your son.... Tell them you know it's not a trd and that you'll report them to the bbb if they don't remove the stickers

    There was a dealer here in mn I just caught trying to do the same thing... I sent an email calling them on their scam... The replied I assure you this is no scam... Come see for yourself... Went to go look for the add again.... It was an sr5 like mine... 96 They were trying to claim it had trd off-road package
