Sorry guys not my Taco but my 95 stang. I'm gona use the 6x8's that I already have and put them in rear deck for rear fill. I am going with one 10 inch sub in the trunk and I'm wanting to know you guys thoughts on me using the mach 460 box or not to house the 6x8s. I already have the box removed from the car and its nothing to put back in. I had to remove the 5 1/4s that I went with back in 97. I've had the 6x8's for about 3-4 yrs and I'm going with 6 1/2s up front. I sometimes like to defeat the sub some or all the way and listen to the Hi's and wanting to know rather using the box for the 6x8s or using the trunk as a box will have any bearing on how the 6x8's will sound when I have the sub defeated?

I was told to still cross the Hi's over at above what the sub will play at anyway. I will have an 800.4 (4 channel crescendo amp driving my Hi's by the way.

    Thoughts guys....................

Those speakers would work better in the mach 460 box. They won't produce enough air pressure to use the trunk as a box.

I think I'm going to try the without the box first and see how I like it. I can always reinstall in the box if I don't like it too much

I do have baffles that I will use on them

if i don't use the box would i have to fill in these extra holes? I just have 2 6x8's for the rear deck and the tweeters don't fit perfect without the box anyway and i think i will have to drill holes for the speakers and the tweeters

I'd fill in the gaps if possible.
