First thing, I would hang that on the wall. Call it steel wall art.

Second, any chance you might have came in contact with a rock or an object like some wood?

Third, have a driveshaft made. Dump the thin wall tube the factory uses and go heavy duty. I suggest .250 wall, at a minimum .188 wall. This should cost 340.00-425.00

    Might be spendy. :D

I have dents and groves in my front driveshaft. Never an issue with .250 wall shafts. I wheel pretty hard, with stickies and plenty of throttle, and nfg.

Judging by the rust and paint chipping on the ends of the tube, it was under extreme torque for some time and finally gave way. The tube would be softer than the welds.

i'm guessing got dinged somewhere and then front wheels were stuck etc, throttle and twist.

Without a dent in that prop shaft I cant see one breaking. The CV or U joint would likely go before that.

Yep that's called "pretzeling" a driveshaft !!!! , that common when your wheels grab traction after spinning freely

That happens regularly on my Camaro when coming of the Transbrake !!!!!!!

Have been having problems switching into 4H like it didn’t want to engage at first. I noticed that a few months back when I went to hatteras. It’s the 3.5L, and when I say nothing crazy mean I wasn’t hard core wheeling going through trails. It was sitting on top of the mud and never sunk down deep. It had been raining for almost a week straight down in North Carolina. No I wasn’t looking for excuses, I just looking to see what y’all think

Dented for sure then wheel was stuck and twist.

One of the guys I wheel with broke his rear shaft. He ended up having it resleeved. Was cheaper than buying new.

I’m gonna see how much it’s gonna cost to have the local driveshaft shop to either like you said resleeve it or just build a heavier duty one
