The Prius is just to give the end user a warm fuzzy feeling that they're helping the environment. What it takes to create those batteries far out weighs what a standard gas engine will put into the atmosphere. This is the same reason I laugh when they talk about electric cars. Sure they don't burn fuel directly but since when was electricity made from rainbows and sunshine?

Odds are they are made of cotton. Odds are it came from one of the farms that I work on or that my family owns or one near me and she paid me/us for them. In the production of which I used big ass tractors with heavy hauling coal rolling diesels to plant, grow, fertilizer, cultivate, and haul to market.

I'm a little further east over near Aiken. My family has about 200 acres in SC and a little over 5000 in GA. Technically the land in GA is my great uncle's as it is willed to the oldest surviving family member in the blood line. But my dad doesn't much care for the life of a farmer and my uncle had a stroke a few years back so he can't do much with it, but I'm still a 6 year old at heart and love driving around the big tractors. I'm the only one that cares enough and likes it enough to still run it with my great uncle. Edit: We grow some tobacco, about a half acre full, but it's more for the town because we can't sell enough to make a decent profit in today's market.

It's proven if you put some "filtered" used cooking oil mixed in you diesel fuel you vehicle will produce massive amounts of smokey exast. My cousin installed a bully dog power adjuster on his Dodge Ram that could also do the same thing under one of the settings, I would have powerbraked it under the smoky setting and made that bitch dissapear.
