Hi all. I've been searching for a thread or some way to word my question that will bring up previous posts on this topics, with no luck.

I'm trying to figure out what people do to carry long items across three roof racks or two racks plus a basket, when they have a mid-rise or high-rise shell. If anyone has any posts, pictures, or threads to point me to that would be great. Thanks.

Awesome Hartung, thank you. It's hard to tell from the angle of the photos and the RTT, but we you able to achieve a uniform level between the shell and the truck's cab?

The items I have been struggling with are 16-20' canoes and lumber. I can do about 12' with just the two racks on my SnugTop Sport Hiliner over my long bed (about 5.5' apart), but past that I start to have problems. Building a garage this summer and want to avoid a lumber rack.

oh yeah- its only level across the top with the RTT mounted on the rack. I can put my folbots (frame and skin folding 18-fr double kayaks) up there that way. To fer yours level, you may need to attach riser bars on the cab rack to do the same.
