Adding an oil pressure and temp gauge. What should the upper and lower safety pressure/temp be? Will force induction change those limits?

220-250°F is kind of the goldilocks zone where temps are ideal, moisture will be removed but not too hot to start breaking down. 275°F+ is where things can go bad, but the most modern oils can tolerate these temps for short periods of time. This is sump temp, which is close to the hottest the oil gets during it's cycle. If you put a temp probe after the cooler, you should expect to see lower temps. How much lower depends on how effectively the cooler works. These temps are typical but engines are different so the 2GR or 4cyl might have more specific zones. It's might be in the FSM.

FSM says, 4.2 psi @ idle and 23-71 psi @ 3,000 rpm, when measured at the oil pressure switch(removed).

Apparently their oil Temp is calculated, as in there isn't a sensor you're directly pulling data from.

Yes. With the oil pressure switch removed, it's a test port.

Interesting. So there is a pressure switch that the ECU is monitoring? Freakin ultraguage doesn't have that PID.

    It's on/off...it doesn't measure a value.
