    Mistakes were made!!

So long story short Im gonna buy a better torque wrench...

Any thoughts on what to do in this situation? This being sheared off on the nut side, is it even possible to remove or am I screwed?

My only thought is to drill the bolt out and out one through the housing

Remove the throttle body, and then you should be able to easily extract the bolt from there.

I might add, buy 4 new bolts for good measure and torque to spec.

Take the body off and extract the stud.

From your pics it appears to be an all thread stud...

What all the replies above state. there is plenty of meat to get a set of vice grips/small pipe wrench to grab. That's an easy lesson on torque, I haven't been so lucky and had to get an education on easy outs.

I guess my thought was that the stud was cast into the housing and couldnt be removed, anyone happen to know the stud and bolt size?

Squirt a little penetrating oil on that stud before you try to take it out. What you've got now should be pretty easy to remove. If it snaps off again down at the bottom you'll have a lot more work to do.

Take the pieces to an auto parts shop or dealer parts dept. and they can match it up for you.

You could also just order a set of new OEM studs from a dealer too. More expensive but better quality probably. I just bought my first decent torque wrench, went through 3 Harbor Freight $20 wrenches before I decided to just pay more for some peace of mind.

M6 x something long. You're probably looking at either OEM, or some M6 allthread cut to length if you really had to... I'd get the right one.

Should just be threaded into a brass insert molded into the intake plenum.
