Changing out the IAC. Do I need to change the throttlebody gasket? Thanks for sharing your wisdom.

It’s good practice, but as long as it’s not broken it’s not a huge deal.

    there's two kinds...

the black plastic/rubberized one lasts several cycles or reuse.

The paper aftermarket ones, are made out of gasket material, do not.

Its best to have an extra one of these on hands anyways.

I keep an extra IAC one on hand too......you never know.

Yes- you can reuse the gasket. However, it's been my experience that it's difficult to get the previously used gasket to seat without being pinched out of place. I have successfully used a pick (from a hook and pick set) to nudge the gasket in place while tightening the IAC into place. Did that a few times, and then I just ordered a few of the gaskets to have on hand for future cleanings. The new gaskets compared to the used gaskets haven't "expanded" (that the best term I can use to describe it).
