    I believe you diagnosed correctly
    Short trips
    Older prior owner
Ran like a top….minimum maintenance done thou(new ball joints thou!!)
    Issues were
    -Oil leaking like stuck pig(fixed)
    -hot no start issue

    pcv valve grommet RR-d
Old one wasn’t stuck, but nasty

    no real oil usage
    But not driving enough
    Plugs looked fine(worn) zero overheating
    Jeez OS
    Might break out compression gauges
    Once can run(this project(s) done!

    Not perfect
    But 120% better
Freakin 8 cans of carb cleaner/1 tooth brush/angled dish brush were collateral damage

-the ‘16 VALVE’ decal on the IM wrinkled off before pwr wash

    glad Kid got lil dirty
New gaskets AND injector cups arrived today
Will be busy updating 2 threads tomorrow weather permitting

Zipped everything back up after work today
    No missing/orphan bolts
Double checked all harness pigtails and hoses
    Started after 2 cranks!!!!
    No fuel leaks
    LCE FP gauge reading 45lbs
    Smooth/quiet
    Getting up to temperature now

eager to see if this rectifies hot no start condition
Again, many thanks for everyone's advice/help on this project
