Are you asking for the 07 you have listed? If so, you'd better post in the 2nd gen section, just in case.

TBs should all be the same regardless of AT or MT, just make sure to get one from the same year or series (03-04 would definitely not work)

    E-penises are blocking their vision.

I don't see why it wouldn't. I'd just take detailed pics of both and compare features/ports.

Is a TB R&R really the answer though? Might be a TPS, they are sorta notorious. Not sure what the cost difference is for a new TPS vs a used TB.

so what i have found out is that the autos are different because they have a transmission kick down cable, and the manuals dont. Im going to clean the tb today. Already cleaned the iac

The intake crush gasket is not reusable, suggest getting a new one to prevent potential issues.

You can get the IAC coolant gasket too, that is rubber and reusable I believe, but I just put a new one in since I had it apart.

Mind you don't get the little coolant hose under the TB kinked during reinstallation. I had to get mine on, then adjust the hose into correct position. Not a lot of play under there.

Did you check all your vacuum hoses going to the throttle body? Did you check cable for play? The tps is different than the iac also. The tps is the throttle position sensor, the iac is idle air control. Make sure you use the proper cleaner for tb. Aerosol carb cleaner is what I have used. Got to be 02 and cat friendly.

No problem man....but yes I joined the 1st gen crew

Throttle body is clean inside...pulled the battery so well see if that does anything...previous owner had a spring rigged up...used carb cleaner, haven't checked the tps

Here (attached) are some basic inspection points that might indicate if it is the TB versus elsewhere.

edit: this is from the 2003 FSM, but it is for the non-ETCSi TB

edit: and includes testing of TPS

My idle was way high like yours also... never kicked down. Messing with the butterfly valve, throttle cable, etc didn't have any effect.

    It was a faulty TPS.

Replaced it and all was good.

I haven't seen the inside of the TPS but if it was replaced and it didn't have the right metal attachment it could be off. This was what I had to look out for when I swapped a newer TB for my older version on my old 22RE, had to swap the tps attachment on the inside to make it idle right. Just throwing it out there.

Should I try unplugging the tps while it's idling? Saw it mentioned on ttora

Did you solve the issue? I just cleaned my whole intake system and I have an identical issue. Idles around 2000, but i noticed if i unplugged the TB, it idled back down to 700 ish
