Yes trippin:eek: Its that magical time of the year again when you put your kids and or dogs in the Tacoma double cab and sit the wife and or girl friend down in the pass seat and hit the roads for hours of yelling, bitting, kicking and screaming along with bad food, bathroom breaks and a smelly truck filled with farts as you drive down the road to the inlaws/outlaws for Christmas:rolleyes:

For me its two dogs and the wife driving from northern Virginia down to the sunny beaches of Boca Raton Fla:D to fight with the inlaws:mad:....why we just can't fight over the phone is beyond me:confused:

We will also have a stop over in Palm Coast Fla to visit my folks....:)....hopefully I can get some quality fishing time in with my dad.

The question is....where are you headed and how many miles or hours to you expect to put on the Taco?

Not going too far, LA to Long Beach. But since I have the truck I have to run all over the icy depths of hell picking up stuff to support 20 people in an apartment.

    projected mileage accumulation: 500

Vancouver to Calgary for me, just me and my Taco. Around 1000 Km (620 miles) one way, 10-12 hours depending on highway conditions. It will be the first time on the highway with the new truck, so we'll see how she holds up. Gotta pick me up some chains, just in case. Those mountain highways can get icy.

Nashville, TN to Waukesha, WI to see my girlfriend's folks. About 630 miles. Not sure if we're gonna take the Taco or my girlfriend's Element. Oh yeah, we're only going to be there for about a day and a half before we have to come back. :frusty: It's worth it to her, so I gotta keep that in mind.

Derek, sounds cool. i'd love to head to Whistler.....in the summer with my mountain bike though. i grew up practically out in the middle of nowhere and the nearest ski mountain was about 4hrs away so i've never gone. looks like fun though. some college friends ski/snowboard and they want to take me sometime so looks like i may finally be learning to snowboard soon.

hmmm...... just hit me, i think i may have to try and do a pre-holiday trip with just me, one of my good friends, and our quads. Glamis dunes in sunny So. Cal is the destination, about 2100 miles round trip according to mapquest from my house. I've been wanting to do somthing like this for some time and at the moment he's not working or going to college and i'll be on my winter break too. it would be epic if i can get him to do it.....

Headin' out from western MT to Bismarck, ND, about 850-900 one-way. Can't decide, guess it will depend on what the weather looks like come departure time, whether to drive the Taco or Prius. Gas is inexpensive now and if the weather is nasty I'll probably go with the truck.

No kids or dog, but western New York has a way of throwing some weather obstacles on the road ahead. I'll be going between Buffalo & Rochester and possibly Syracuse this season. My real problem will be the asshat on the other side of the highway, drunk, careless, hell they might be Holiday suicidal and try an take me out. I might just take the back roads. :D
