Hey guys, 4Runner guy looking for some help. Putting a rebuilt r150f into my 4Runner and I’m not sure how the throw out bearing clips to the clutch fork. I’ve seen it done multiple ways.
I’ve got pictures here with the clip mostly on the bearing and the clip mostly inside the fork. Thanks

Don't know if you seen Timmy's video on the clutch replacement, but may have the answer you're looking for.. Start at around 50:30 mark

Right, if you watch him pull it out of the transmission it’s put together one way and then he puts it together the opposite way.

I didn't notice that at first, that is subtle. Based on your pictures it seems to me that the first orientation you posted would be the correct one. That also seems to be the orientation of the clip in the removal video.

Hopefully someone else will chime in and correct me if that's wrong. I haven't swapped my clutch out yet.

The first way feels and looks right, seems to work in both orientations though.
